Job description
- As a key architect of the team you will be expected to design, build, test and deploy stable, scalable and simple solutions.
- Create and recommend solution design options factoring in requirements, standards and current infrastructure environment. Communicate and present solutions to other stakeholders.
- Guide and mentor other members in the team to promote highly technical and self-sufficient teams
- Work very closely with various stakeholders to drive the development and execution of multiple business plans and technologies
- Improve, optimise and identify opportunities for efficient software development processes.
- Mentor junior members in the team and provide them guidance on design and writing high quality code.
- Share ideas and provide key inputs to the product and platform roadmapRoles and Responsibilities
- Hands-on knowledge in designing and building API platforms with documentation, sandboxes, monitoring etc.
- Hands-on knowledge in designing, writing and reviewing code in Java, Spring etc.
- Hands-on knowledge in designing and modelling data in RDBMS. No-SQL expertise is a plus.
- Hands-on expertise in one scripting language like Python or Ruby.
- Hands-on familiarity with Unix/Linux CLI environment.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms. Amazon AWS is a plus.
- A good technical mindset and product development driven experience.
- Passion to seek and evangelize tools to help development, testing and deployment, including automation.
- Passion for quick learning and adapting in a fast-paced environment.
- Penchant to look at production and identify technical requirements for product improvements.
- Strong sense of ownership, focus on quality, responsiveness, efficiency and innovation.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Candidate Profile10-12+ years of experience in software product development engineering
- 8+ years of experience with Java / Python in building scalable web based applications
- 8+ years in database modelling and design
- Must have launched at least one server application from conceptualization to production
